About Me

Hey friends!  My name is Katelyn Bowie.

I grew up as an adventurous and eager mountain kid! I was adopted from China and spent my childhood exploring and touring my new hometown of Durango, Colorado. I have over a decade of experience in singing, acting, and dancing. I am graduating from Fort Lewis College this Spring of 2026 with a BA in Musical Theatre.

My very first show was Annie, and I was an orphan. Perfect because it helped 8-year-old me heal her adoption trauma ;) Since then, I have adored the playfulness and community of theatre.

Outside of the Performing Arts, I love to cook anything with pasta in it. If it has pasta, I could probably eat it for the rest of my life. I enjoy weight lifting, and I really am trying to love running; so far, so good. I also enjoy skiing when there is decent snow on the mountain. I have pets whom I love and adore, and I cuddle with them while watching YouTube or Sitcoms. When I have the freest of free time, I hop onto my PC and play video games like Valorant, Fortnite, and BF6.

Recently, I have starred as Leading Player in Pippin, Logan in The Thanksgiving Play, and Natasha in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, where she “dazzled the audience with her musicianship” (Judith Reynolds).
